The Nike Vaporwaffle sacai Neptune Green in String/Black/Villain Red debuted as part of sacai’s Fall 2020 Menswear runway show. These sneakers merge features from the innovative Nike VaporFly with the classic Air Pegasus from 1983. The upper is constructed with mesh and leather, with burgundy and green suede overlays. The Vaporwaffle borrows from the Swoosh’s original Waffle sole and adds an avante-garde flair with a thicker, stacked midsole that peeks out from the heel. The sneaker’s Swoosh and tongue are doubled, continuing the layered motif. These sneakers released in December of 2020 and retailed for $170. These are lace up sneakers.
