Nike tapped patient Kahleah Corona to design a special React Element 55 for the 'Doernbecher Freestyle' collection debuted in December 2019. With a pink and black textile upper, the sneaker features bright eyestays and glittered Swooshes to represent her bubbly personality. Green tape on the heel symbolizes the traumatic brain injury she suffered and 'K-Strong' represents her family's motto during her recovery. Her favorite emoji embellishes the React midsole.
