Air Jordan 5 Retro Awake NY Women's Sneakers
Awake NY has teamed up with Jordan Brand once again to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the legendary Air Jordan 5. The resulting version reinterprets Tinker Hatfield's 1990s design and presents the AJ5 from the perspective of a brand that is firmly rooted in the rich cultural diversity of New York City's neighborhoods. The jagged midsole, distinctive collar, and transparent ventilation inserts blend with the black premium leather upper. Racer Blue accents give the legendary design an energetic look. The double logo in Racer Blue, which stands out strikingly from the metallic silver tongue, and a matching logo on the transparent outsole represent the Jordan x Awake NY partnership. Awake NY's signature “A” logo is integrated into the side ventilation inserts, and while the right shoe features the ‘NY’ logo on the outer heel instead of the traditional “23,” the left shoe remains true to the original. The visible Nike Air cushioning has been combined with classic Nike Air branding on the heel. This version, with transparent lace stoppers and special packaging, incorporates all the distinctive elements of the original and gives one of Michael Jordan's most popular shoes a New York look.
